- Central West Virginia Rides
On these rides you will cross over an estimated 30 mountains and 20 streams, wind your way down a beautiful twisting highway, and visit quaint towns and an outdoorsman paradise. Don’t forget to stop at the state park sites along the way.
- Northern West Virginia Rides
Start in Parkersburg and ride parallel to the mighty Ohio River. Jump on state Route 50 and head toward Clarksburg, home of the annual Italian Festival. Don’t pass up North Bend or Blennerhassett Island Historical State Park. Keep driving and you can visit Grafton the home of Mother’s Day Shrine and Anna Jarvis, founder of Mother’s Day.
- Southern West Virginia Rides
Travel into the heart of the West Virginia coalfields, notice historic coal towns, interesting architecture and coal company houses. Along U.S. 219 you will find scenic vistas, small towns and a lot of historical sites. Travel through the dense Monongahela National Forest, visit the many state parks and enjoy the lush farm country of Greenbrier County.
- Eastern West Virginia Rides
The Washington Heritage Trail is characterized by old homes, farms, towns and rolling hills. This ride offers the perfect backdrop to historical figures, such as George Washington, John Brown and Fredrick Douglas. Check out events honoring the 150th anniversary of John Brown’s raid on Harper’s Ferry.
- Western West Virginia Rides
Visit Charleston, home of the state capitol, Power Alley baseball and the Clay Center for the Arts and Sciences of West Virginia. Travel west to Huntington and enjoy the small towns along the way. Don’t forget to visit Point Pleasant and see the statue of the Mothman legend.
